WAEC Releases BECE Provisional Results For School And Private Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the BECE provisional results for both school and private candidates who sat for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination.

In a press release, WAEC revealed that the results of school candidates will be sent to their respective schools through the Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors of Education. However, the results for private candidates can be accessed at the Council’s website www.waecgh.org.

School candidates who prefer to check their BECE results online can also visit the council’s website and do so.

The sad reality is that the scripts of 22,270 candidates, in certain subjects, are being scrutinized for reported cases of mass cheating. Their results may be cancelled or released based on the outcome of investigations.

WAEC has cautioned all stakeholders to be wary of fraudsters who promise to upgrade results for a fee. Candidates are to note that WAEC results are secured and can be authenticated.

Candidates encountering challenges in accessing their results can read our comprehensive guide on how to check your BECE result either through your phone or using a scratch card.
